Tim Lutes was born and raised in Alpena, MI graduating from both Alpena High School
and Alpena Community College. He furthered his education by receiving a B.A. degree
from Alma College and a M.A. degree in educational administration from Eastern
Michigan University. After a thirty year teaching career which took him from Midland
to Alpena to Northville, Tim retired in 2000 and returned to his beloved northern Michigan.

He purchased property on Lake Esau in 1990, and he and his family enjoyed vacationing
and camping there for years. After retirement, fulfilling a lifelong goal, Tim began
the construction of a home on the Lake Esau property. His past experience in building
includes twelve years working for the family owned Lutes Lumber Company, serving as a
carpenter for building companies in the Detroit suburbs, running a small home improvement
and repair business, and building homes and additions in the summer months in Traverse City.
His home was completed in one year, and since, he has added a garage and an addition
built as a "Granny Annex". Tim's vast building experience lends a very useful tool to his
real estate customers, one that clients can use for advice as they seek a quality home.

Tim is an active member and officer of the Presque Isle Community Men's Club and
served as the volunteer coordinator for the 1905 Lighthouse Keeper's Home for the Presque Isle
Museum Society for several years. Tim's knowledge of the area, combined with his building
experience, will allow him to efficiently serve those seeking a positive real estate venture.
